Review : L.A Confidential is a sordid tale of sex scandal betrayal and corruption throughout the police politics and press in 1940's Hollywood is a film noir masterpiece. The Oscar-winning screenplay is a compelling blend of LA history and pulp fiction. Kim Basinger's potrayal of conflicted femme fatale is outstanding and Pearce's character is an intriguing blend of amorality and ambition.
